Executive Functioning Analysis:
Understand how your brain works - and how to work with it.
ADHD and Executive Functioning
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopment disorder characterised by persistent patterns of inattention, hyperactivity, and/or impulsivity. ADHD is ultimately a difficulty with executive functioning.

Executive Functioning is the brain's command and control centre. It allows for goal-directed behaviour, which includes planning, initiating, organising, monitoring, and completing tasks. Those with ADHD struggle with our executive functioning, which makes goal-oriented tasks difficult. This is especially so in modern-day living with various societal deadlines to adhere to.

Executive Functioning abilities have been linked to increased success in university studies, predicting successful course completion and further success in adjusting to working life.

While those with ADHD tend to have executive functioning difficulties (or executive dysfunction), some of us can have difficulties with one or more areas of our executive functioning without being diagnosed with ADHD.

Executive Functioning Analysis
Have you ever scrolled through social media, looking at reels showcasing the latest ADHD tip/trick that would totally fix your life? Have you then tried those strategies for a week or two, only to feel frustrated that it was not working out for you?

The reason is not because there's an issue with you. Just because people with ADHD (or suspected ADHD) have similar difficulties does not mean that the difficulties stem from the same root cause. Just like everybody have their individual strengths and weaknesses; your executive functioning is also uniquely you. The reason you struggle may differ from others, even though outwardly you may struggle with the same thing (e.g. starting on that assignment that is due in 48 hours).
At Sprig, we understand that it is emotionally and financially daunting to pay $1,500 (average price for a psychological ADHD assessment) for an assessment when you are not sure if you have ADHD. Or; if you have been diagnosed by a psychiatrist, it simply does not make sense to pay for a full psychological ADHD Assessment. Our Executive Functioning Analysis takes the most practical part of our ADHD Assessment package at a fraction of the cost. It uses neuropsychological assessments to offers you a deeper insight into your own executive functioning profile, and enables you to better understand and conceptualise why you experience the difficulties that you experience, and to give yourself the best opportunity to utilise the strategies that actually have a chance to assist you.
Our reports are bespoke to you and your executive functioning profile - no cookie cutter information sheets; we only suggest strategies that would make sense with your profile and your difficulties. Outsource your executive functioning to us - Let us sift through the data and suggest strategies so you don't have to!

Finally, if you do suspect you may have ADHD - the Executive Functioning Analysis will give you practical suggestions and strategies that you can utilise no matter your 'official diagnosis'. We can also add in a screening tool at no additional cost. The results from the screening tool and your Executive Functioning Analysis will allow us to discuss with you the likelihood of meeting ADHD criteria based on the information we gather. Consider it a 'middle step' that lets you get all the benefits (and more!) of a typical ADHD Assessment without the full price tag, and will give you more information to assist you in deciding if you want to complete a full ADHD assessment.

If you decide to undergo the full ADHD assessment with us within 12 months of your Executive Functioning Analysis, we will deduct the price of the Executive Functioning Analysis from our ADHD Assessment cost.
